OUR METHODOLOGY

Clarity starts with transparency.

How resources are researched, organized, and presented.

The current catalog

The website's catalog is based on the 631 resources in Beyond_The_Letter_631_Recursos.xlsx. The explorer, map, state pages, and What Can I Get? use this catalog. Resources remain clearly labeled as pending review until their source information is verified. Publication does not confirm eligibility, availability, or current details. Choose a state to find resources with documented coverage there, or use the search to explore the full catalog.

Sources and real review dates

We prioritize official program pages. Each resource links to the source consulted and records the research date, access limitations, and uncertainty. A date from an imported catalog is kept separately from a new source review. Consulting a page does not guarantee that every detail is current.

Dates, cycles, and conflicting information

A past confirmed deadline takes precedence over an “open” label. Announced future cycles are distinct from current applications. Missing dates stay unconfirmed; they do not mean there is no deadline. We do not roll old dates or award amounts into a new year. Where the source contradicts itself or cannot be checked, the detail page explains what needs confirmation. Calendar downloads are offered only for confirmed deadlines supported by a reviewed source.

Discovery and recommendations

The explorer combines search, location, published criteria, and application filters. Programs and directories are labeled separately. What Can I Get? explains possible matches using documented rules, missing information, and uncertainty. Unknown criteria are never treated as proof of eligibility. A working source link alone does not make a resource verified. Featured resources are editorial starting points, without paid placements.

Corrections and maintenance

Each resource offers a correction template with its identifier and source. The button copies text; no message is submitted. A public contact channel and the operator’s identity are pending before launch. The README documents how to preserve original records, record corrections, run validation, and log an actual review.

Accessibility as a design goal

We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA with labeled controls, keyboard navigation, visible focus, reduced-motion support, and readable color contrast. This is not a certification or a claim of complete conformance. Assistive-technology and independent accessibility evaluation remain pre-launch work.
