No account, uploads, or tracking
Beyond the Written does not ask for an account, payment, personal documents, or identifying financial details. This application includes no advertising trackers or analytics. Fonts and visual assets are served locally. No contact or document-upload service is configured.
What stays in your browser
Language, theme, saved resource IDs, comparison IDs, and dismissal of the development notice are stored in localStorage on this browser. They are not synchronized across devices. You can clear saved resources on the Saved page, clear the comparison on Compare, or remove all stored choices through browser site-data settings. If storage is blocked, choices work in memory for the open page.
Optional guide answers
What Can I Get? sends your optional answers to this application's server to compare published resources. The application does not save or log those answers, put them in URLs, or send them to external AI services. Responses are not cached. The form clears when you leave or reload. The original quick guide and invitation reflection stay in browser memory. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank information, tax documents, full addresses, or immigration status.
Search links and external websites
Search terms and filters appear in the URL so results can be shared. Do not enter personal or sensitive information in search. URLs may remain in browser history and, after deployment, ordinary hosting logs. When you follow an official link, that website’s privacy rules apply. A downloaded calendar file belongs to you and does not update automatically.
Administrator access
Students can browse without an account. Authorized administrators use a protected session cookie to maintain the catalog. Administrative changes record the administrator name, time, and changed resource information. Imported source files and research records stay on the server and are available only through authorized review tools.
Before public launch
Operator identity, a real privacy contact, hosting provider, log retention, and any additional hosting behavior must be documented before public launch. No operator or contact has been invented for this application. This privacy notice must be updated if functionality changes.
